Bananas Foster

Here's a quick, tasty and healthy recipe for bananas foster. I made it earlier and promptly devoured it. Sorry that there isn't a picture, I ate it before I could get a shot..

Healthy Bananas Foster

 1 medium banana, very ripe
 2 tsp vanilla extract
A pinch cinnamon
A pinch brown sugar, or sugar substitute (I used Splenda brown sugar mix)

Cut up the banana and heat it in a pan on medium heat. As it cooks, add the vanilla extract and let it coat all of the banana pieces. Mix together the cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl and then add to the banana, mixing in the pan to insure all of the banana is covered. As it cooks it should become gooey and the banana should lose it's shape a bit but not break down entirely. When the mixture has a gooey texture and the bananas are hot, remove from the pan and serve. Garnish with a pinch of cinnamon and eat immediately.

A Quick Overview

Sugar Sweet Bites is a bit of a confusing name for this blog. My food ideal is healthy, clean and delicious. After all, what's life when lived on dry lettuce?

A healthy diet is promoted all over the internet, but the reality of diets are that most are unhealthy and filled with ingredients prompting questions. Is this ingredient even from nature?

Too often health food is confused with a "diet" (The calorie deficit food plan, not the food consumed by a given person). A "diet" is a restrictive, temporary meal plan comprised of fads, poor nutrition and tiny caloric amounts. Health food is also comprised of lower calories, but it also consists of constant necessary nutrition and substance. Healthy living is just that, a lifestyle.

On my blog, expect to see a lot of recipes that I like to make or improvise myself. Expect exercise logs and tips, and what I eat when I eat out. Visit my main blog and fashion blog, Sugar Sweet Spikes, for outfits, shopping and other life related topics.
